General Community Older Adult Program Grants

General Information

Due to its narrow funding focus for Older Adult Grants, the Foundation will accept proposals by invitation only.

Priority consideration will be given to promising programs and innovative approaches to support an individual's ability to age in community.  The Foundation also supports existing, high quality, evidence-based programs.

Innovation is defined as
a new program or new growth of an existing program.  Examples may include a new service designed to address an existing issue, or a new model of delivering services of a new intervention for a newly identified problem.

SPECIFICALLY, THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS:
  • Enabling older adults to remain in the community, with a particular interest in living situations and services that help older adults "age in community".
  • Collaboration, networking and skills enhancement among service providers.
  • Interagency collaborations that strengthen and update responses to the changing needs and aspirations of prior generations of seniors and aging baby boomers.
The Jewish Heritage Foundation encourages innovative partnerships with other funders, as well as public, non-profit and private groups dedicated to improving the health and well-being of older adults.
